Favorite Products of 2015

Hey everyone! I know I have been on a bit of a hiatus, but it was much needed. Toward the end of the semester I had to focus on finals and finishing out my college career as stress free as possible. With that being said, I unfortunately had to spend less time blogging. Finally, I’m back in full effect and will be posting regularly again (Tuesday’s and Thursday’s). In this post, I’m sharing with you my favorite beauty products of 2015 from brow products to lip colors. These products are staples in my makeup kit and hopefully you’ll get to try a few of them. Enjoy!

Primer

Hands down my favorite primer that I’ve used this year is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water ($32). It’s great for all skin types and really gives your skin a refreshing feeling when you apply it.

Eyebrows

I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade ($18) in Dark Brown. I also love the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara ($6) in Deep Brown. It really makes a difference using it with the pomade to make the brows appear more natural.

Foundation

The best foundation that I have ever used IN LIFE is the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation ($38) in Amber Honey. It has a matte finish which I used to hate, but using this product has changed my perspective of matte finish foundations. Now, I have to have a matte finish. Even in the winter . . . and I have dry combination skin. That says a lot about this foundation, ladies.

Concealer

My favorite concealer palette would have to be the NYX Conceal Correct Contour Palette in Deep ($12). I use every shade but one in this palette. My favorite is the orange to color correct dark spots before I apply my foundation. The second color in the first column is what I use to highlight my eyebrows and I use the darkest color to contour.  For everyday highlight, I use the top right shade and to contour my nose I use the top left shade. For special occasions, for highlight I use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Concealer ($24) in Medium Deep.

Eye Shadow

Favorite eyeshadow palette is really hard to pick. I love both the Maybelline Nudes Palette ($10) and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette ($49). I also love my go to Covergirl Eye Enhancers ($6) in Coffee Shop. It’s a great quad to have for either a neutral or glam look.

Mascara, Eyeliner and False Lashes

My FAVORITE mascara of all time is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23). It adds a load of volume to your natural lashes and makes them look BOMB!! Along with that, I love the Salon Perfect Perfectly Glamorous Eyelashes Demi Wispies ($3) which I initially bought because I could not find the Ardell Demi Wispies. Normally I’ll wear one pair of lashes, but if you’re going out you can stack them for a more glam or dramatic look. Favorite eyeliner for top liner hands down is the Maybelline Master Precise Pen ($8). It is easy to use and gives me a perfect wing every time!

Setting Powder

To set my highlight I use the Sacha Buttercup Powder ($20). It is THE BEST setting powder for highlight, especially for my brown girls, because it doesn’t give you that flashback in pictures and it also gives you a fab finish. To set my foundation I use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Powder Makeup ($40) in Amber Honey. It also gives a nice semi-matte finish.

Blush and Highlight

ANY MILANI BLUSH IS MY FAVORITE. I seriously have tried all of the Milani blushes and they are the only ones that I use. They each cost about $6-7 and each shade has a beautiful finish whether it’ a shimmer or matte. For highlight, of course, I have to say my favorite is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector ($38) in Champagne Pop. Yes, I was able to get my hands on this limited edition gem and I apply it every time I wear makeup. Every single time! Highlighter makes a huge difference and can brighten up any makeup look, whether it’s natural or glam.

Setting Spray

My favorite setting spray that I will never ever replace is the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray ($30). It may seem a bit pricey for a setting spray, but it is totally worth it! It is great for all skin types and it literally makes your makeup last all night, trust me . . . I know. Since it was made to last all night of course it’s great to use for day wear as well.

Lipsticks

Okay. I challenged myself to only pick three of my favorite lipsticks; otherwise, this would have been the longest section! First one hands down is the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6) in LAX. When my order came in I wore this color almost every day for like a week. I had to stop myself from wearing it! The shade is bomb on my skin tone and the formula is actually not as drying as other bloggers say it is. Next time I order, I’ll get two or three! Second is another red, Ruby Woo by MAC ($17), of course. I don’t even need to explain why this was a favorite because it’s everyone’s favorite and looks good on every skin tone. Last but not least is Rose Femme by Milani ($6). Again, Milani Cosmetics is the real MVP. They are the reason I had to cut this list short. They can do no wrong when it comes to makeup. That is all.

Well that’s all I have! I would have written more but I actually wanted you guys to read the whole thing lol I hope you enjoyed it! Do we have some of the same favorites? Plan on using any of these products in the upcoming year? Want a tutorial on how to use some of these products? Let me know! Talk to you next time where I give you my year in review and also a sneak peek into my plans for my blog for 2016. I’m so excited to share it with you all!

Stay pretty!
