Patchology is one of the best in the game when it comes to skincare. Their concept of using patches to target specific areas of the face and body is one of the greatest. This limits your hands from coming in contact with creams and gels which can sometimes be messy. Patchology recently added a couple new products to their line: SmartMud No Mess Mud Masque and PoshPeel Pedi Cure. Patchology sent me both products and here are my honest reviews.
SmartMud No Mess Mud Masque
This clay mask is great for detoxifying the skin, enhancing radiance and refining pores. As you can see from the picture above, the mask comes in two halves. First things first, it’s important to know that all sheet masks are not created equal. Some people may have a hard time fitting their facial features into the holes, which is normal. The instructions on the packaging are clear cut. The mask is covered on both sides by a plastic film. Once you remove one side, you’re supposed to place the mask on your face, press firmly and remove the other. But, for me it was easier to just remove both sides and then apply the mask.
The first thing I began to notice was a cooling sensation a few minutes in. 10 minutes later after the mask hardens, it should be removed then rinse off the residue with warm water. After removing the mask I instantly noticed a difference in radiance which says a lot about a clay mask! My skin also looked smoother and felt extremely soft. I followed up with toner and my moisturizer to seal everything in and the difference was even more noticeable. I would definitely use this mask again and recommend it to other people. You can purchase a 4-pack of these masks for $30 which is a great deal!
PoshPeel Pedi Cure
So you know when you get a pedicure and they wrap the hot towels around your feet at the end? Your feet feel just like that after using this! Imagine experiencing that in the comfort of your own home. Bomb right? At first I was a little skeptical about this, but I was totally proved wrong. They’re basically little individual pedicure bags. The instructions for this product are extremely simple. All you do is squeeze the designated dosage into each bag, place them onto your feet and seal them.
While I had these on I was still able to move around comfortably, but I do recommend being as stable as possible. Also, try not to elevate your feet too much just in case there’s any extra liquid that didn’t get soaked into the cloth lining. The 60-minute treatment is ideal for people with troublesome feet. It helps to remove dead skin and overall leave your feet feeling like you just got a pedicure. You can purchase the 2-pack treatment from Patchology’s website for $25, which is much less than you would pay for two pedicures.
